Privacy Policy
1. Definition
In this policy, personal information shall mean information capable of identifying a customer, such as name, gender, date of birth, phone number, or E-mail address, which we request of customers when providing our services to them.
2. Notification and publication of the handling of personal information
When we receive personal information from our customers, we will notify them beforehand or publish on our website etc. the purpose, method and scope of the use of personal information, our contact information, the extent of the affiliation companies to which we provide our customers' personal information (due to the nature of the affiliation, these companies will be sharing the received information with us) for each service.
3. The purpose of use of personal information
We will not use any personal information received from our customers beyond the purpose of use that has been notified or published for each service without the customers' consent.
In addition, we shall only provide third parties with personal information received from our customers, or open the same to the public, after the information has been processed statistically according to gender, preference, usage history etc., and limit it to an extent whereby it will not be possible to identify specific individuals.
4. Acquisition, provision and disclosure of personal information
Upon acquiring personal information, we shall do so appropriately without using any fraudulent means such as deceit and so on. We will not provide or disclose any personal information to any third party without the customers' consent, except for the following cases:
We obtain the customer's consent in advance, in accord with the terms of service etc., and may disclose personal information to our affiliate companies and subcontractor within the scope of the requirements of each of our services. In this case, we shall take appropriate measures, such as making a nondisclosure agreement with them, to ensure they do not use the personal information beyond its purpose of use (e.g. via a leak of personal information) that has been notified to customers, and published.
However, if we are required to disclose customers' information when faced with a request from any official bodies, such as a court, prosecutor's office, supervisory authority, or under laws and regulations, we may do so.
5. Safety management for personal information
With regard to the handling of customers' personal information, we are continuously striving to improve our management system for personal information in order to prevent any leak, loss, damage, alteration and unauthorized access to personal information etc. Moreover, we will continue striving to ensure our customers' personal information remains as up to date and accurate as possible, in cooperation with our customers.
We limit the number of our staff handling personal information to the necessary minimum based on the purpose of use, and implement the necessary management and monitoring by having staff in charge of managing customers' personal information for each service.
6. Personal information of customers under 15 years old
We also handle personal information of customers under 15 years old with the utmost care. Please ensure that the personal information of persons under 15 years old is registered under the agreement of his/her parent.
7. Request for discontinuation of use, amendment, deletion and disclosure of personal information
If you would like to request disclosure, discontinuation of use, or deletion of personal information, or discontinuation of use, amendment, or deletion after the disclosure, please contact our service staff. We will verify your identity and quickly process the request for disclosure, discontinuation of use or deletion to a reasonable extent. Consequently, if any wrong information is found, it will be immediately amended or deleted. Upon the customer's request, we will immediately delete the information, even if it is not wrong. We may request some charge for this service, according to our policy.
8. Compliance with laws and regulations
When handling our customers' personal information, we comply with the relevant laws and regulations regarding personal information protection in Japan and our company regulations.
